Great idea- works best with open top shoes or those with open tops or those that mostly cover the toe area surrounds or boots that lace, up so you can loosen the laces a bit to make extra space . Or if boots those that have adequate space around the ankle area anyway. The smaller the in step the less extra space needed. I have both 2 4cm. In the right type of shoe, I have found them very comfortable totally forget they're there. They stay in correct place very well are unnoticeable. If you are just starting out the lower ones are probably the best option, as the larger the height of these, the more they need a bit of extra space around the upper foot heel area. Does feel good with that little extra height at times. Great idea really.
